Student Customer Service Associate - Veale and Wyant

The Customer Service Associate (CSA) plays an essential role in creating a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment for all patrons using the recreation and athletic facilities. As the first point of contact, CSAs are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of both Veale Recreation and Athletic Center and the Wyant Athletic and Wellness Center.

Key responsibilities include greeting patrons with a friendly and professional attitude, answering questions in person and over the phone, and providing facility tours and orientations to new visitors. CSAs assist patrons by issuing and collecting recreational equipment, conducting patron counts to monitor facility usage, and ensuring equipment is properly returned and organized.  

In addition to customer service duties, CSAs support facility operations by performing basic housekeeping tasks, such as folding towels, wiping down weight stations and benches, helping maintain clean and organized work areas, and assisting with various facility set-up and tear-down projects for programs and events, and building walkthroughs. CSAs are also expected to help maintain a safe environment by reporting hazards, following facility policies and procedures, and ensuring recreation spaces remain clean, organized, and ready for use. This includes returning equipment back to where it belongs in an orderly manner so that it is not a tripping hazard or in a way of another patrong using the facilty.

Customer Service Associates are stationed at multiple locations throughout the recreation facilities, including the front control desk and issue desk in the Veale Recreation and Athletic Center, as well as the front control desk and basement weight room in the Wyant Athletic and Wellness Center. The position requires dependability, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to all facility users. Applicants should communicate availability to supervisors on a regualr basis. 

The Customer Service Associate position is compensated at an hourly rate of $13.44 per hour.
