JOB DESCRIPTION

Graduate Assistant

Hourly Pay Rate: $15.00

The Graduate Assistant will support the department/organization in various administrative and operational tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as main point of contact for day-to-day office operations (room reservations, keys, copier, open/close, conference room/classroom AV, lab manuals, etc.)
  • Helping with or preparing for department events
  • Answering and operating departmental phones, emails, or other correspondence
  • Supporting department staff
  • Answering student, faculty, staff, or University visitor questions
  • Providing customer service
  • Demonstrating professional verbal and written skills
  • Using Microsoft, Adobe, or other computer or departmental programs
  • Creating social media material and marketing materials
  • Updating and maintaining department files
  • Assist with planning and coordination of events such as seminars, field trips, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Active enrollment as a graduate student at Tulane University
  • A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
