About this role
Celestica is a global technology company that designs, engineers, and manufactures products and services supporting AI, cloud, and other high-growth markets. The Student Intern, AI Engineer will design and implement agentic solutions and machine learning models, apply data science techniques, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present technical findings and prototypes.
What you'll do:
- Design, build, and evaluate intelligent agents and machine learning workflows
- Apply data science techniques to analyze datasets, optimize model performance, and enhance agent capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and integrate AI/ML solutions into existing workflows
- Conduct experimental testing and benchmarking to ensure technical rigor and solution accuracy
- Present technical findings, project progress, and working prototypes to internal stakeholders
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required
What they're looking for:
- Experience: No Formal Experience Required
- Education: Enrolled in a Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics Program
- Strong proficiency in Python and core software development principles
- Foundational knowledge in Data Science and Machine Learning (e.g., data analysis, model evaluation, and predictive modeling)
- Familiarity with Generative AI concepts, large language models, and autonomous agent architectures
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks, drive projects forward, and deliver reliable results
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and teamwork capabilities
