Student Intern - Electrical Engineer

Y-12 National Security Complex is recruiting a Student Intern - Electrical Engineer for its 2027 Engineering Internship Program. The role provides challenging engineering assignments, projects, and career development opportunities supporting missions related to national and global security.

What they're looking for:

• To be considered for the Engineering Intern position, you must be working toward or have completed a degree in Engineering or a relevant Physical Science (Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or similar) from an Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program in the United States or designated equivalents from Canada or Mexico, the Washington Accord, or the list of substantially equivalent as documented by ABET
• Students who have graduated are eligible up to two years post graduation
• In addition, you must have completed (at a minimum) your sophomore year in college, have an overall GPA (grade point average) of 3.0/4.0 or above, and be a United States Citizen
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required
