The Student Photographer captures high-quality photographs at Dodge College events, programs, and special activities.
This position is responsible for editing, organizing, and delivering photos in a timely manner to support college communications, marketing, recruitment, and promotional efforts.

Responsibilities
- Attend assigned Dodge College events and activities and maintain punctual, reliable attendance.
- Capture high-quality photographs of events, programs, guest speakers, screenings, productions, and other college activities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Communications and marketing staff to ensure photography aligns with specific project goals and visual requirements.
- Edit, retouch, organize, and prepare photographs for use in print, digital, web, social media, and other promotional materials.
- Ensure photographs are properly exposed, in focus, and meet professional quality standards suitable for marketing and communications purposes.
- Deliver edited photographs and selected images within established deadlines following events.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with supervisors regarding assignments, schedules, and project needs.
- Respond promptly to emails, messages, and requests related to photography assignments.
- Accept direction and constructive feedback and incorporate revisions when requested.
- Maintain and properly handle photography equipment and report any equipment issues or concerns.
- Represent Dodge College professionally while interacting with students, faculty, staff, alumni, guests, and visitors.
- Adhere to departmental dress code expectations and maintain a professional appearance while on assignment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of photography principles and camera operation.
- Experience taking photographs in a variety of settings.
- Familiarity with photo editing software and digital file management.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions.
- Reliable, professional, and dependable.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the entertainment industry
- Experience photographing events, programs, performances, or campus activities.
- Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, or similar editing software.
- Experience creating content for social media, marketing, or communications purposes.
- Interest in photography, film, media, marketing, or visual storytelling.
