JOB TITLE: Student Voting Ambassador
LOCATION: Minneapolis Campus
PAY RATE: 16.50/hr
HOURS: Student Voter Ambassadors will have, at maximum, 40 hours of employment during the election season.
CEVEA is St. Thomas's nonpartisan Civic Engagement, Voter Education and Advocacy Taskforce. We are inviting Tommies to join the St. Thomas Student CEVEA Team for Fall 2026. Please note: this is a limited term opportunity. Students would be hired from September 8, 2026 until November 10, 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities:
St. Thomas Student Voter Ambassador Team will be working with CEVEA leadership to organize and implement:
- Voter Registrations Events
- Voter Education Events & Programs
- Peer Education Class Presentations
- Social Media/Marketing Campaigns
- Student must complete at least 5 total election engagement activities such as voter registrations, class presentations, or event leadership.
- Compose and submit a post-election report to summarize activities and accomplishments
- Currently enrolled as a student with a positive and friendly attitude
- A commitment to educating peers about the importance of voter registration, becoming an informed voter, and being an actively engaged community member
- Not presently serving in a fellowship role for another partisan or nonpartisan organization.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
