This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00 - $18.00 and is tip eligible.

The Stuart C. Siegel Center is a multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia. It serves as the home venue for VCU Rams basketball and volleyball and hosts a wide range of events, including athletic competitions, concerts, commencements, banquets, meetings, and special events. From venue materials used at the facility, the Siegel Center is positioned as a premium event destination with suites, hospitality spaces, and full-service catering operated by OVG. The venue emphasizes high-quality guest experiences, food and beverage service, and amenities for both athletic and private events.
- Prepare suites prior to events, including stocking food, beverages, supplies, and service ware.
- Welcome suite guests and provide attentive, courteous service throughout the event.
- Monitor food and beverage levels and replenish products as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of suites, service areas, and equipment.
- Assist with the delivery and presentation of catering orders.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol service, and venue policies.
- Complete post-event cleaning, inventory, and restocking duties.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, culinary staff, and fellow team members to ensure seamless service.
- Show commitment to providing outstanding guest service and maintaining a professional appearance.
- Previous hospitality, food service, catering, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
