Summer 2027 Accounting Intern

The Dutch Group is offering a Summer 2027 Accounting Intern position designed for students pursuing degrees in accounting or related fields. This part-time internship provides hands-on experience in core accounting functions while accommodating academic commitments.

What you'll do:

• Maintain accuracy and timeliness in data entries into internal systems
• Support the preparation and distribution of recurring financial reports
• Provide exposure to a variety of accounting functions and duties
• Enter and file invoice data for accounts payable processes
• Prepare fixed asset documentation and associated invoices for recording
• Assist with preparation of journal entries under the guidance of the accounting team
• Support account reconciliation and audit-related documentation
• Verify and organize daily retail paperwork against system records
• Distribute invoices to consumer and commercial accounts on scheduled timelines
• Compile and share reporting related to commercial account activities
• Provide administrative and operational support to the accounting team as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• Frequent hand to finger, handle, feel objects, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking and hearing
• Physically submit to periodic drug, background and clearance screenings (employment is contingent upon favorable results)
• Familiarity with accounting & ERP systems; PDI experience a plus
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Good problem-solving and communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
• Ability to adapt to new processes and take on additional responsibilities over time
