Summer 2027 AIM Hedging Research Analyst Internship | Fully Onsite

Allianz Life is an insurance and asset management company seeking a Hedging Research Analyst Intern to support its hedge trading desk. The intern will research, develop, modify, and implement quantitative models for derivatives hedging while assessing and mitigating market risks using financial mathematics, programming, and artificial intelligence tools.

What you'll do:

• Research Analyst Interns will support the dynamic hedge trading desk while expanding their technical skills, programming abilities, and knowledge of financial math
• Research, develop, and modify quantitative models for derivatives hedging
• Implement quantitative models in C#
• Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

What they're looking for:

• Progress towards, or completion of, a PhD in mathematics, physics, computer science, economics, engineering, or a related field
• Strong technical skills in mathematical modeling, reading papers, writing software for research purposes
• The right candidate will possess an outstanding record of academic achievement and an interest in the financial markets
• You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc)
• If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship
