Summer 2027 InfoAssurance & Cybersecurity Intern - Atlanta

Cherry Bekaert is an accounting and consulting firm providing assurance, tax, and advisory services. The InfoAssurance and Cybersecurity Intern will support technology, cybersecurity, privacy, and general control audit and advisory engagements, technical cybersecurity assessments, workpaper preparation, report drafting, and communication of findings. The intern will also assist with identifying control weaknesses, vulnerabilities, audit exceptions, and inefficiencies and developing recommendations for management.

What you'll do:

• Support strong work papers conforming to the firm’s methodology/standards and participation in report drafting
• Identify and communicate results to leadership
• Maintain a strong client focus by understanding the client’s business needs while developing productive working relationships with client personnel in order to accomplish audit objectives
• Demonstrate strong project management skills, ability to multi-task and attention to detail
• Cybersecurity Readiness Assessments
• Vulnerability Assessments
• Attack & Penetration Studies
• Incident Response
• Cybersecurity Governance Risk & Compliance Examinations

What they're looking for:

• Juniors or seniors pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting or Mathematics
• Interest in technology risk management and IT governance principles
• Willing to pursue relevant professional designations (ex. CPA, CISA, CISSP, etc.)
• Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship for this position
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required
