About this role
Dow Jones is a global media and information company offering an internship program that provides students with hands-on experience and professional development. The Business & Product Strategy Intern will support cross-functional strategic projects, product and audience initiatives, internal communications, market research, competitive analysis, and project management for consumer investing products.
What you'll do:
- Understand the value propositions for Dow Jones’ consumer investing products and the consumers who use them
- Work cross-functionally across product strategy, audience and commerce and contribute to strategic projects that drive the business
- Help to develop an internal newsletter/spotlight/educational tool(frequency tbd) that gives non-W&I teams an overview of key content that has resonated with our audiences, product updates, and otherwise
- Contribute to key strategic initiative development including writing briefs to define project objectives and user needs, working to get input and information from stakeholder teams to provide a robust narrative on the potential impact the project can make
- Hone project management skills by scheduling kick off meetings, follow ups and tracking milestones
- Sharpen creative thinking through market research and competitive analysis to develop a set of new projects that our business should consider to drive user engagement with our brands
- Gain knowledge of the financial news space as well as stock market research and investing
What they're looking for:

- Completed at least two years towards a major or minor in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at one time
- Excellent writing skills and demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
