Summer 2028 Accounting Intern

BGM provides advisory, audit, accounting, and tax services to entrepreneurs, business owners, organizations, and individuals. The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on public accounting experience by supporting audit, assurance, tax, client data analysis, research, and engagement team activities during the Summer 2028 internship.

What you'll do:

• Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and other assurance engagements
• Support tax return preparation and other tax-related projects
• Collect and analyze client information and financial data
• Assist engagement teams with identifying issues and communicating findings
• Complete tax research and special projects as needed
• Gain exposure to clients across a variety of industries
• Work alongside team members at different levels of the Firm; and
• Build your accounting and industry knowledge through hands-on experience, coaching, training, and collaboration

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
• Interested in gaining experience in public accounting
• Available to work approximately 20–30 hours per week during the internship
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Service-minded with strong interpersonal skills
• A strong verbal and written communicator
• Curious, dependable, and willing to learn
• Able to work from our Bloomington, Minnesota office during the internship; and
• Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis
