About this role
Navy Federal Credit Union is a financial services organization providing career and internship opportunities. The Summer Associate Product Strategist/Business Analyst will support research, data analysis, project organization, and strategic recommendations to improve products, services, and technology delivery.
What you'll do:
- Support AI Work: Help collect, organize, and participate in feedback to technical working groups, to support initial use cases in current technologies
- Analyze approach for Issue Resolution/Procedural Enhancement: Review existing processes and data flow to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities that support more streamlined delivery and process improvement
- Implement Improved Methodology for Project Execution: Partner with team members to summarize findings, formalize work breakdown structures, and present clear recommendations that help guide future enhancements
- Assess the competitive landscape of competitor products and services including potential disruptive technologies
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI into existing dashboards/applications (i.e. natural language querying, forecasting, etc.)
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for new/improved functionality
- Develop recommendations for delivery of strategic initiatives or products based on research, findings, data, and other empirical evidence
- Develop work breakdown structure which can be used to deliver high-level road maps and/or detailed action plans as applicable
- Develop and present proposals on findings from analysis and research to leadership
- Become integrated into and participate in the day-to-day strategy, analysis, and operations of a project team
What they're looking for:
- To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field
- Experience with research, analysis, and data manipulation
- Knowledge of, or experience using, data and analytics tools such as Power BI, Databricks, SQL, SPSS Modeler, R, Tableau, or equivalent
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in group settings
- Strong strategic, critical, and analytical thinking skills
- Formal instructional design coursework is helpful but not required
- Basic knowledge of financial services/payments is a plus
