About this role
Clark Construction Group provides construction services and project delivery operations. The Summer Associate – Project Controls will support project accounting, administration, financial forecasting, cost reporting, cash-flow monitoring, and change order reconciliation while gaining hands-on experience across active construction projects.

- Equipment inventory monitoring
- Assist with project setup and closeout
- Owner contract review and readiness
- Lien waiver & insurance administration
- Small Business Tracking & Reporting
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other business-related field
- Highly motivated individual with strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills, Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, safety, business or a related field
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- This is an active, hands-on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You'll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work. The role does include desk time in the office that may require prolonged periods of sitting for tasks like computer work, document review, and meetings
- You'll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress. You will also spend time in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels
- The summer associate program is a full-time program (minimum of 40 hours per week) that starts in late May or early June and typically runs about 8-10 weeks in length
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Careful attention to detail and reliability of output
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
- Experience with SAP, Textura, Coupa, or Google platforms a plus
