Summer Intern 2027 - Business Technology

Manulife John Hancock is a financial services provider offering an internship program focused on career development and technology-driven innovation. The Business Technology Intern will support digital transformation and operational efficiency by documenting business needs, coordinating project activities, analyzing data, and creating reports or dashboards.

What you'll do:

• Contributing to our team of highly skilled Business Analysts/IT Project Coordinators, dedicated to accelerating the adoption of digital innovation across Manulife
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into clear, structured documentation such as business requirements, user stories, and process flows
• Help develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and coordinate meetings to ensure tasks are progressing on time and within scope
• Work with datasets to identify trends, generate insights, and create visual reports or dashboards that inform business and technical decisions
• Organize and update key project artifacts including meeting notes, action items, risk logs, and process maps using tools like SharePoint

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights to support business decisions and project planning
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate documentation, and follow through on action items in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, and/or Confluence
