Visit the site virtually: coastalharbor.com As a Mental Health Technician Supervisor, you'll play a critical leadership role in creating a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff. You'll oversee daily operations across the residential units, proactively assessing unit activity, responding to changing patient needs, and ensuring appropriate staffing to deliver exceptional care. Leading by example, you'll model effective de-escalation techniques, foster positive team relationships, and provide coaching and guidance to staff throughout your shift. In partnership with the Director of Residential Services and Director of Nursing, you'll supervise team performance, coordinate daily operations, resolve challenges, and help develop a high-performing team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care. Job Duties/Responsibilities Lead and supervise Mental Health Technicians by assigning daily responsibilities, ensuring effective shift handoffs, maintaining appropriate staffing levels, and providing coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing training Oversee the safety, security, and daily operations of the residential units by conducting room sweeps, monitoring resident whereabouts, enforcing safety protocols, and proactively addressing potential risks Support the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring implementation of individualized treatment plans, psychoeducational programming, therapeutic activities, life skills development, and positive behavioral interventions Respond to and lead crisis situations using trauma-informed de-escalation techniques, ensuring appropriate interventions, incident debriefings, accurate reporting, and compliance with restraint and seclusion procedures Ensure timely, accurate completion of clinical documentation, behavioral observations, incident reports, shift communications, and regulatory reports in accordance with organizational policies and state requirements Promote a positive, therapeutic environment by modeling professionalism, maintaining healthy boundaries, fostering respectful relationships, and encouraging patient engagement and staff collaboration Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, regulatory standards, and training requirements while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff Benefit & Rewards Highlights Challenging and rewarding work environment Competitive compensation & generous Paid Time Off Excellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plans 401(K) with company match and discounted stock plan SoFi Student Loan Refinancing Program Tuition saving to continue your nursing education with Chamberlain University Career development opportunities within UHS and its 300+ Subsidiaries!
