Duties

Serve as Branch Chief supervising up to 20 staff, assigning work, setting priorities, and providing technical and administrative guidance to achieve program objectives.,Plan, direct, and coordinate complex Civil Works projects, ensuring delivery in accordance with established schedules and Program and Project Management Business Process objectives.,Communicate project and program status, priorities, and complexities to non-Federal sponsors, government officials, NGOs, and the media to maintain collaboration and transparency.,Make timely decisions and recommendations on technical, administrative, and policy issues, including complex or controversial matters.,Track, assess, and inspect assigned programs and projects, conducting studies and analyses to identify areas of concern and ensure effectiveness.,Manage staff performance, training, hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions while ensuring equitable performance standards and career development opportunities.,Collaborate with organizational units, USACE leadership, contractors, and agencies to ensure alignment and integration of program and project activities.,Represent the branch in briefings and meetings with Congress, government officials, and other stakeholders, advising on project management policies and resolving critical issues.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Manages and Organizes Information Organizational Performance Analysis Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
