About this role
Description
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for building and maintaining the reporting infrastructure that enables data-driven decision making across GPCS. This includes owning KPI dashboards, supplier and inventory visibility tools, launch tracking, pricing analysis, and deep-dive reporting that surfaces defects and operational gaps at the site and supplier level.
The Supply Chain Analyst is the owner of GPCS operational reporting accuracy — monitoring the quality and consistency of data across reporting surfaces, and partnering with system owners (including Coupa, Delphi, and other source systems) to drive resolution when data is incorrect or inconsistent.
This role requires proficiency in dashboard development (e.g., QuickSight, Asana, or equivalent BI tools), SQL or equivalent query languages, and the ability to translate complex operational data into clear, actionable reports for stakeholder groups that include finance, operations, ACES, and internal GPO teams.
Successful candidates are natural self-starters who thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments. This role requires someone who is highly adaptable — capable of quickly adjusting strategies and implementation plans in response to dynamic business needs and varying site conditions. The ideal candidate excels at managing multiple stakeholder relationships, driving consistent standards across diverse partners, and balancing technical requirements with operational constraints.
Key job responsibilities
Dashboard and Reporting Infrastructure
Build, maintain, and report on KPI dashboards that serve as the single source of truth for GPCS operational performance
Develop and manage supplier ETA and inventory level dashboards at the site and vendor level
Maintain the SEV2 Asana dashboard and produce miss reports that surface root causes and prevention recommendations to reduce SEV2 reoccurrence, distributed to stakeholder groups including operations and internal GPO teams
Ad Hoc and On-Demand Reporting
Produce cross-team project status reporting on a defined cadence
Conduct pricing change reporting and build ad hoc reports or dashboards as requested by stakeholders to address emerging business questions, one-time analytical needs, or leadership requests outside the standard reporting cadence
Support ad hoc data collection, reporting and dashboard creation across supply and inventory topics — such as excess inventory exposure, forecast versus orders performance, supplier stock shortage risks, cycle count values versus usage, and invoice hold trends.
Analysis and Deep Dives
Perform deep-dive analyses on recurring operational issues and escalations, including ordering logic failures, system trigger anomalies, and stakeholder-submitted questions
Data Accuracy and Governance
Conduct regular audits of dashboard data against source-of-truth systems; document discrepancies, corrective actions, and recurring failure patterns — and escalate pipeline-level issues to the AI/Automation Specialist for technical resolution
Establish and maintain data definitions, metric formulas, and refresh cadences that are consistent across all GPCS dashboards and business reviews
About the team
Global Procurement Central Services (GPCS) is a centralized corporate team that provides non-inventory procurement support across Amazon's operational network. GPCS manages the end-to-end supply chain of forecasting, purchasing, delivery, escalation management, and financial reconciliation. This role within GPCS will support the operational readiness of Amazon's emerging and growing business lines, including programs such as Prime Air, ensuring sites have the non-inventory supplies and consumables needed to operate effectively. This is a critical role in building scalable procurement processes that support network growth and expansion.
