About this role
In this position, you will carry out distribution related activities. Operates as a member of a warehouse team with autonomy. Performs the complete range of warehouse functions through goods receipt, warehousing, cycle counting to pick pack and goods dispatch. Alignment to this or the prior level role will depend on the complexity and size of the operation in their specific country.
Typical Accountabilities
- Reconcile, complete, log, and file complicated documentation to meet legal requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards.
- May Liaise with government bodies, the Department of Transport, customers, couriers, suppliers, manufacturers, and the planning office to resolve intricate queries regarding the delivery and collection of goods and consumables, both internally and externally to AstraZeneca.
- Coordinate work practices to ensure compliance with AstraZeneca standards, ensuring adherence at all times.
- Complete sampling of raw materials and forwards them to Quality Control to support the analytical process.
- Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to continuously improve the efficiency of logistics operations.
- Attend and facilitate Tier meetings to ensure effective communication throughout the working period, including coordinating operator duties as the need arises.
- Assess, record, and update the training matrix to ensure appropriate training is delivered to team members.
- Participate in and coordinate improvement initiatives and projects as a team ensuring processes are fit for purpose and support line improvements.
- Act as a senior team member to ensure adherence to Good cGMP and Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards.
- Utilising Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), by identifying minor maintenance issues, performing basic repairs, and intensify significant problems to the relevant department for resolution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by adhering to strict housekeeping and safety standards. Identifying and reporting Safety hazards to ensure a safe workplace. Procure equipment, office supplies, and consumables in advance to meet operational requirements effectively.
- Serve as a point of contact for resolving partner concerns within the distribution centre.
- Attending Tier meetings.
Qualifications and Skills
High School Diploma with at least one year of experience with warehousing operations in a GMP environment
>1 year experience with Cold Chain and Temperature sensitive material, biologics and components
>1 experience with SAP/WM required, SAP/IM is helpful, as well as MS Outlook and Excel.
Experience in handling hazardous materials (flammables, corrosives, and gases)
Capable of independent work
The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $53,400.80 - 80,101.20. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
