Job Description

The Surgical Technologist assists in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and functions as a member of the surgical team during operative procedures.

UCSF Stanyan Operating Room (OR) consists of 8 surgical suites for inpatient and outpatient surgeries. Services include, but are not limited to: Orthopedics, General, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Pain Service, General Surgery, Vascular, Urology, Podiatry.

All patient care team members are responsible to meet patient needs, demonstrate willingness to learn new skills, and foster a harmonious work environment in which high quality patient care and customer service is consistently provided. Qualifications

Required Qualifications: - Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR for healthcare providers - High School Diploma; or equivalent experience - Graduate of surgical technologist training program or equivalent experience - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations Preferred Qualifications: - Certification as a Surgical Technologist - Scrub experience in at least one of the following services: Ophthalmology, OHNS, Robotics, Urology, Gynecology, OMFS, Plastics License/Certifications: - Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR for healthcare providers
