Swine-Derived Materials Sales & Applications Internship - Summer 2027

Johnsonville is a global food company with a culture focused on growth, learning, and innovation. The Swine-Derived Materials Sales & Applications Intern will support the Sustainable Swine Resources team by evaluating innovations, optimizing tissue processing, researching new product techniques, and developing solutions that create value and sustainability for porcine tissues.

What you'll do:

• Assess innovations to drive value for porcine tissues in various industries
• Work with a cross functional team to evaluate and optimize tissue processing procedures
• Research new techniques in the development of new products
• Create a business plan and present findings to a cross functional team
• Use entrepreneurial skills to bring forward and develop new ideas into solutions that drive value and sustainability

What they're looking for:

• * Candidate must currently be working towards a Bachelor's degree in biology, animal science, biomedical engineering, pre-med, business, or a related field from an accredited university; sophomore – senior status preferred
• * Prior work experience preferred
• * Ability to work independently and as a team member
• * Innovative mindset to “think outside the box” and be creative
• * Willing to travel to other facilities, including harvest facilities
• * Skilled at maintaining accurate and complete work records such as a notebook and status reports
• * Good communication skills such that ideas, results, intentions, questions, and concerns are shared and understood in a timely fashion
• * **Start Date:** May 24, 2027
• * Must be at least 18 years old
• * Must have valid driver's license to be able to drive to Sheboygan Falls, WI campus
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the country where this job is located, without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
• * 3.5 minimum GPS strongly preferred
