Systems Analyst I - REMOTE

Velera is a payments credit union service organization and integrated fintech solutions provider serving financial institutions across North America. The Systems Analyst I assesses and improves IT systems and applications, supports users, develops technical solutions, maintains documentation, and partners with enterprise teams to ensure agreed IT services are delivered.

What you'll do:

• Assesses existing IT solutions, analyze their functionality, efficiency and productivity, and then help organizations design, develop and implement new technical solutions
• Handles technical support tickets and help the users to solve their problems and identify solutions to implement
• Creates and maintains system documentation
• Proactively pursues development opportunities and show expected progress on learning plan
• Creates an environment that promotes end-user self-sufficiency
• Since input data generally comes from diverse sources, is responsible for recognizing probable conflicts and integrating diverse data elements and sources
• Produces innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems
• Perform other duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Information Management or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 1-3 years of experience supporting users through technical support of the applications, developing procedures and reporting tools, facilitating and coordinating training and other technical support
• This role is currently not eligible for sponsorship
• Three (3) years of experience in financial services strongly preferred
• Experience establishing SLAs and availability goals to meet business requirements and budget constraints preferred
• Ability to read SQL queries is very helpful
• Experience working with regulatory, privacy, security, and associated laws, rules, and regulations, including all applicable standards preferred
