About this role
## Meet the team
You will join a highly technical embedded systems and hardware engineering team responsible for building reliable, secure, and ultra-low-power platforms that power next-generation connected wearable devices. The team operates across silicon, real-time embedded systems, algorithms, and connectivity stacks, translating complex system requirements into robust real-world solutions. This role plays a key part in shaping device-level behavior, performance, and power efficiency throughout the full product lifecycle.
## Where you come in
- Evaluate CGM system performance using prototype firmware, mobile application features, and experimental system configurations to characterize overall system behavior and performance.
- Perform BLE communication analysis using protocol sniffers, device logs, and diagnostic tools to identify issues and characterize wireless communication performance.
- Conduct power-impact analysis using Keysight power analyzers and related instrumentation to assess feature-level and system-level energy consumption.
- Investigate system anomalies, prototype feature issues, and production firmware or application defects, driving structured root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, fixture scripts, and engineering tools across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments to improve testing efficiency and repeatability.
- Create comprehensive test plans, detailed test procedures, and technical reports while presenting findings to engineering teams and leadership stakeholders.
- Develop prototype firmware features in C/C++, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architecture discussions supporting future CGM capabilities.
- Collaborate with systems, firmware, mobile application, quality, and external partner teams to define requirements, support verification activities, and evaluate interoperability across connected devices and applications.
## What makes you successful
- Strong experience in embedded systems, firmware development, system validation, or prototype evaluation.
- Proficiency in C/C++ software development with experience debugging and developing embedded firmware applications.
- Experience analyzing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communications using protocol sniffers, logs, and wireless diagnostic tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills with the ability to investigate complex system-level issues spanning firmware, applications, and communications layers.
- Experience developing automated test tools, scripts, and frameworks using modern software engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, power measurement equipment, and system characterization tools.
- Experience writing test plans, verification procedures, requirements documentation, and technical presentations for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and independently drive technical investigations from problem identification through resolution.
## What you’ll get
- A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
- A full and comprehensive benefits program.
- Growth opportunities on a global scale.
- Access to career development through in-house learning programs and/or qualified tuition reimbursement.
- An exciting and innovative, industry-leading organization committed to employees, customers, and the communities it serves.Travel required: 5-15%.
## Experience and education requirements
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 0-2 years related experience.
