About this role
Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, provides technologically advanced solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. The Systems Engineer I will perform verification and validation testing of radio products, create test documentation and reports, identify equipment issues, and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
What you'll do:
- Run test procedures for radio products or associated ancillary equipment to verify or validate equipment functionality
- Create test reports, identify and document equipment issues, communicate with the design team about equipment performance and improvements
- Create or update test procedures and documentation part of the lifecycle development of the units under test
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers for projects development, strengthening systems engineering skills
What they're looking for:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
- Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, design, integration, verification, validation, and technical documentation
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance after start date
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting using test equipment like power supplies, Digital Multi Meters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, Radio Frequency (RF) signal generators, RF power metes, Spectrum Analyzers
- Experience creating, reviewing and updating technical documentation
- Experience creating and interpreting schematic and block diagrams, understanding components functions and interface specifications
- Experience working in projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of communication systems and modulation techniques
- Knowledge in electric and electronic circuits design and analysis
- Knowledge in Systems Engineering discipline and Systems Development Lifecycle
