Systems Engineer Intern

General Dynamics Mission Systems develops high-technology solutions supporting defense and national security missions. The Systems Engineer Intern will apply classroom-learned engineering skills while collaborating on technical projects and developing solutions for mission-focused customers.

What you'll do:

• The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission
• Apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the defense of our country

What they're looking for:

• Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology
• Systems Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Mechanical, Systems Engineering discipline with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher
• Department of Defense secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Clear understanding of engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
• Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
