The Systems Engineering Intern will apply engineering practices and problem-solving to modeling and simulation for space-based systems and satellites, while collaborating with program and team experts on computational projects.
What you'll do:
- You will contribute your knowledge of engineering practices and problem-solving in the field of modeling and simulation to analyze work across a wide range of intriguing computational problems related to space-based systems and satellites
- You will support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receiving inputs from the program or team experts, and work on projects, determining and developing approaches and solutions
What they're looking for:
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
- Must be pursuing a BS (or higher) degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session
- Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
- Specific majors: Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM discipline
- Knowledge of data analysis, modeling and simulation, statistics, and various computational techniques for complex multi-variable problems
- Knowledge of STK, MATLAB, or Python
- Quick learner and motivated
