About this role
RTX is an aerospace and defense company developing solutions that protect military technology and support national security. The Systems Security Engineer I will support systems security engineering solutions for embedded weapons systems, collaborating with customers on requirements, architectures, implementation strategies, threat modeling, and program protection compliance.
What you'll do:
- Support the implementation of Systems Security Engineering (SSE) solutions in Raytheon products
- Collaborate with customers to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, and implementation strategies
- Develop plans, estimates, task execution schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
- Guide SSE implementations and architectures for customer systems
- Conduct attack threat modeling and Critical Program Information (CPI) assessments
- Develop top-level system requirements and flow those into subsystem implementation concepts

- Ensure compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies
What they're looking for:
- * Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience
- * The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- * Experience and/or coursework with one or more of the following: System Security Engineering, Anti-Tamper, Cybersecurity, Embedded Systems Security, Embedded Hardware, Embedded Software, Real-time Embedded Systems
- * Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
- * Applied engineering experience or coursework with exposure in one or more of the following domains: Systems Security Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware development, Systems Integration and/or Test, ASIC development, Systems Security, Anti-Tamper, Cybersecurity, Digital Electronics design or similar work history
- * Past work experience (professional or academic) interacting with multidisciplinary teams of system design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software and logistics engineers
- * Experience in designing, implementing, testing and fielding real-time embedded security solutions
- * Experience with model-based systems engineering
- * Exceptional creativity, problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills
- * Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills
