About this role
Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the recruitment of high volume, heavy pipeline and entry-level positions, as well as providing support to specialty recruitment group by facilitating and executing sourcing strategies to identify talent leads for hard to fill positions. This function helps formulate management policies regarding worker conditions with regular access and analysis of confidential information that help formulate labor policies. The incumbent may attend management meetings and be involved directly or indirectly in the decision making process around management positions during negotiations process.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all the recruitment activities of high volume, heavy pipeline and entry level positions.
Build strong relationship and work closely with the hiring managers to plan and manage recruitment needs for the specific areas of assignments.
Assist in the implementation of recruitment strategies to directly drive staffing efficiencies and reduce overtime & agency utilization.
Acts proactively to build a pipeline of candidates.
Recruits, evaluates qualifications of candidates, interviews, refers candidates, negotiate and close job offers.
Effectively and creatively, source candidates for hard to fill positions using existing and new technology platforms.
Effectively use social media networks to generate leads and connect with potential candidates for hard to fill positions Interact with professional niche platforms to review possible candidates’ portfolios.
Leverage referrals and past applicants for difficult to fill positions.
Develop network of potential candidates and industry professionals.
Monitor and remain current with industry trends and best practices in sourcing and recruiting and make recommendations for new or improved ways to find talent.
Participates in different recruitment and retention projects and initiatives.
Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
Experience
Generally requires 1 to 3 years of related experience.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
- Employees hired into the classification before 03/06/2023 are grandfathered in for the Bachelor’s degree requirement.
Credentials
Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
