About the Department

The Talent Development Facilitator plays a critical role in advancing Central Piedmont's mission by developing the talent, capabilities, and engagement of its faculty and staff to support student success and community impact. As a strategic partner to leaders across the institution, this position assesses organizational needs, translates complex challenges into meaningful learning solutions, and drives initiatives that strengthen individual and organizational performance. The Facilitator designs and leads impactful learning experiences that foster collaboration, innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement while aligning with the College's vision and values.

Success in this role requires an exceptional facilitator who can engage diverse audiences, build trust, navigate varying perspectives, and create learning environments that inspire growth and action. Equally important, the ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging technology in innovative and exciting ways to enhance learning, improve organizational effectiveness, and create engaging experiences for faculty and staff. This individual continuously explores emerging tools, trends, and digital solutions, thoughtfully integrating technology to modernize talent development practices and drive meaningful impact across the College.

Through strong partnerships, data-informed decision-making, effective facilitation, and a forward-thinking approach to technology, the Talent Development Facilitator helps ensure the College has the talent and leadership capacity necessary to achieve its strategic goals and future success.

Position Duties

1. Designs and facilitates quality training and development solutions which include a blended approach to learning, such as classroom training, hybrid, and virtual learning.

2. Coordinates and facilitates new employee orientation and onboarding programs, for both part-time and full-time faculty and staff.

3. Supports Employee Engagement through departmental retreats, interactive workshops, and programs.

4. Identifies development needs across the institution; provides direction and guidance regarding
content selection, instructional design, and execution.

5. Coordinates planning, delivery, and quality review of Talent Development offerings.

6. Collaborates with various teams, leaders, and subject matter experts to identify trends, clarify needs, and design customized training solutions.

7. Reviews and synthesizes data associated with needs assessment, programming, and forecasting of organizational learning needs.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business, Instructional Design or a related field and a minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience in training and development

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Communications, Human Resources, Business, Instructional Design or related field
  • Professional certifications/designation such as ALP, DiSC, MBTI, WPB5
  • Coaching experience/certifications

Other Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics: 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to design programming to meet learning needs of employees
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Google products
  • Ability to interact and provide information to individuals or groups with diverse background

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment, may travel to other campuses and overnight travel to conferences and seminars
