Tax Staff Accountant

Proximus Global is hiring a Tax Staff Accountant to support its tax accounting, compliance, reporting, and audit activities. The role prepares tax entries, provisions, reconciliations, and filings; supports transfer pricing and audits; and assists with tax research and related projects.

What you'll do:

• Prepare tax-related journal entries and supporting calculations for the MEC
• Assist with transfer pricing calculations, documentation, and related reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provisions and tax account reconciliations
• Prepare and file sales tax and property tax returns accurately and timely
• Assist with tax audits by gathering documentation, responding to information requests, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Compile and organize Corporate Income Tax (CIT) requests and supporting schedules
• Support statutory audits by preparing tax-related schedules and documentation
• Assist with tax research and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations
• Maintain organized tax records and support process improvements within the tax function
• Perform additional tax, accounting, and ad hoc projects as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and basic tax concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification
• Experience with ERP systems and tax software
• 1–3 years of accounting or tax experience
• Public accounting or corporate tax experience
