Tax Staff Accountant

Faulk and Winkler, LLC is a Baton Rouge-based public accounting firm committed to providing practical solutions through close personal attention. They are hiring a Tax Staff Accountant to help build a leading local advisory practice supporting growth-minded business owners by performing tax-related tasks and collaborating with clients.

What you'll do:

• Performing a wide variety of diversified, tax-related tasks, including tax return preparation and research
• Assisting with special consulting projects
• Interacting with clients and other associates from the firm

• Staff-level tax experience
• Prepared to learn and assist managers and team with tax preparation and research

• Quick thinker and continuously improving service provided
• Intellectually curious and committed to improving clients' experience
• Ability to think critically and provide practical solutions for clients' needs
• Responsive and reliable, demonstrating care for clients' success
• People person with ability to collaborate respectfully with clients and associates
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or other related program is preferred
• Proficiency in tax software, specifically CCH Axcess Tax
• A CPA license or CPA candidate is preferred
