Job Duties:

This document technician job is unique; preparing historical and active offender paper records for scanning to create an electronic digital record that will be used for effective offender support and management during their period of incarceration, as a tool for Parole Review, Release, and maintained for 30 years past discharge of sentence.  you will be responsible for sorting/prepping paper offender folders into categories following department guidelines prior to scanning

You'd be a GOOD fit if:

You enjoy learning

You have a keen eye to note the subtle differences in documents that span over 60 years 

You are open to changes.

You are comfortable with commercial scanning equipment/copiers/PC

You'd be a GREAT fit if:

You have at least 2 years' experience with offender records, scanning, and document imaging or equivalent education (60 semester hours).

You are flexible towards job duty reassignments due to TDCJ paperless goals.

You have strong work ethics with a positive attitude

You are a team player.
