Job Duties:

Food Service Manager II

This position performs moderately complex food service supervisory work under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.

In this role, you will supervise the preparation and serving of meals, ensure dining, service, and food preparation areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. You will inspect food for quantity, quality, and temperature control and ensure proper storage and use of inventory.

You will assist in calculating food requirements, preparing and completing related documents and reports, and directly supervise inmate work groups in their daily assigned duties. 

Food Service Manager III

This position performs highly complex food service supervisory work under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.

In this role, you will supervise the preparation and serving of meals, ensure dining, service, and food preparation areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. You will inspect food for quantity, quality, and temperature control and ensure proper storage and use of inventory.

You will assist in calculating food requirements, preparing and completing related documents and reports, and directly supervise inmate work groups in their daily assigned duties. 

Food Service Manager IV

This position performs advanced food service supervisory work under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.

In this role, you will supervise the preparation and serving of meals, ensure dining, service, and food preparation areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. You will inspect food for quantity, quality, and temperature control and ensure proper storage and use of inventory.

You will assist in calculating food requirements, preparing and completing related documents and reports, and directly supervise inmate work groups in their daily assigned duties.

Food Service Manager II

You have graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent of GED.

You have one year full-time wage-earning experience in correctional, commercial, or institutional food preparation or food service management.

Food Service Manager III

You have graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent of GED.

You have two years full-time wage-earning experience in the supervision of employees or inmates.

Food Service Manager IV

You have graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent of GED.

You have three years full-time wage-earning experience in the supervision of employees or inmates.

Food Service Manager II

You have up to twenty-four months as a Correctional Officer, Supervisor of Correctional Officers, Correctional Laundry Manager, Law Enforcement, or Jailer experience.

You have knowledge of the principles and practices of quantity food preparation and service.

You are able to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.

Food Service Manager III

You have twenty-five months as a Correctional Officer, Supervisor of Correctional Officers, Correctional Laundry Manager, Law Enforcement, or Jailer experience.

You have knowledge of the principles and practices of quantity food preparation and service.

You are able to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.

Food Service Manager IV

You have seventy-three months as a Correctional Officer, Supervisor of Correctional Officers, Correctional Laundry Manager, Law Enforcement, or Jailer experience.

You have knowledge of the principles and practices of quantity food preparation and service.

You are able to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
