Job Duties:

This position reports directly to the Unit Commissary manager. Supervisor duties include supervising commissary staff and offender workers. Day to Day functions, will include conducting sales to both staff and the offender population. Monitoring daily the inventory of a unit commissary. Overseeing the receiving and accepting commissary warehouse delivery, as well as outside vendor delivery. Assisting in the inventory process, which is conducted monthly on the unit commissary.

You have experience with inventory control, receiving products, stocking, selling, and reconciling inventory, along with the ability to maintain accurate records and quickly resolve discrepancies. You understand inventory operations and can follow policies, procedures, and security requirements while staying organized, dependable, and able to prioritize daily tasks in a correctional environment. Your effective communication with staff, vendors, incarcerated individuals, and unit personnel combined with strong attention to detail and a security¿minded approach¿makes you well¿suited for success in this position.

You have strong inventory and retail operations experience and can serve as a knowledgeable resource for other staff. You can lead and coordinate daily team activities to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently, and you proactively identify inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and take corrective action.
