Job Duties:

This position reports to the TDCJ Beef Processing Plant on a daily basis. Overseeing the set up and tear down of beef processing equipment. Diagnose and oversee repair for all production equipment. Trains and oversees a crew of inmate workers. Researches parts, retains quotes, and creates requisitions for needed parts and equipment. Assist in maintaining safety and security of staff and inmates. 

You'd be a GOOD fit if:

You have graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED and two years full time, wage-earning maintenance or construction experience.

You have food processing equipment maintenance and repair experience.

You'd be a GREAT fit if:

You have sixty semester hours from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) with six semester hours in a maintenance-related field or graduation from a technical 

Or vocational school accredited by an organization recognized by CHEA or USDE with a certificate in the field of industrial plant operations or maintenance 

Or completion of a U.S. Military technical training school in a maintenance-related field.
