Tech Ops Engineer Intern - Fall 2026, AWS Data Center Commissioning

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Tech Ops Engineer Intern to support their data center operations. The intern will be involved in project oversight and improvement initiatives, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance operational excellence.

What you'll do:

• Serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers
• Project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural
• Identify areas for improvement as well as act on data provided from other teams and organizations
• Design, develop and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges
• Work within multi-disciplinary teams for project scope including improvement of electrical, mechanical, fire detection and building automation system
• Communicate with a variety of vendors, people, and teams with a high level of customer service

What they're looking for:

• Are enrolled in a academic program that is physically located in the United States
• Knowledge of Power Systems, Fluid Dynamics, or Thermodynamics
• Experience using a variety of web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing
• Are 18 years of age or older
• Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems
• Experience with AI/ML technologies
• Prior relevant internship experience
• Knowledge of HVAC systems
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
