Technical Summer Internship

Metron Inc. is an employee-owned company delivering innovative solutions to challenging national security problems. The Technical Summer Intern will work with mentors and small collaborative teams to develop and test algorithms, create user interface components, and write scripts supporting large-scale defense and homeland security systems.

What you'll do:

• Participants will be involved in developing and testing algorithms, creating user interface components, and writing scripts in support of large-scale defense and homeland security support systems
• Beyond technical responsibilities, Metron's Internship program promotes networking and camaraderie among fellow Interns and staff through organized social events
• You will also have the chance to showcase your accomplishments and share valuable lessons learned at the conclusion of the program

What they're looking for:

• Applicant must be at least 16 years old
• U.S. Citizenship
• Completed coursework in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or related field
• Programming experience in Java, C++, Rust, Python, and/or TypeScript
• Familiarity with designing and implementing GUIs
• Familiarity with web development, modern collaborative software tools, data structures, and algorithms
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability
• Prior quantitative research experience
