About this role
Vanguard is an investment management company focused on clients’ long-term financial wellbeing. The Technology Leadership Program – Data Analyst track is a two-year rotational experience in which participants analyze data, develop analytics solutions, communicate insights, and build technical and leadership capabilities across Data & Analytics teams.
What you'll do:
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover insights that support business decisions
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key trends and outcomes
- Partner with business and technology teams to understand needs and translate them into analytical solutions
- Apply data management and governance principles to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Use tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, Tableau, and cloud-based platforms to support analytics work
- Deliver insights that influence business strategy and improve client and operational outcomes
- Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering high-impact results
- Collaborate across teams, share insights, and drive solutions in a supportive environment
- Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers
- Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's or relevant advanced degree in Data & Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative or analytical field
- Strong interest in using data to solve business problems and influence decisions
- Familiarity with analytical tools or technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI)
- Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position
- This position will begin in 2027 and students graduating in December 2026 or Spring 2027 are encouraged to apply
- Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
