About this role

Georgia Institute of Technology is a public research university focused on technological research, education, and innovation. The temporary engineering role provides engineering services for research systems and equipment while establishing AI workflows for modeling, simulation, and characterization of semiconductor devices. Responsibilities include system design and testing, engineering analysis, troubleshooting, documentation, budgeting, vendor coordination, and quality reviews.

What you'll do:

  • Participate in the design, installation and testing of systems and components
  • Develop engineering project schedules, plans, and specifications for systems and components
  • Conduct analyses of system performance; prescribe corrective action where required
  • Troubleshoot systems; may involve calibration and repair work
  • Prepare drawings, schematic diagrams and other documentation associated with components and systems
  • Provide input to and administer project engineering budgets
  • Interact with vendors regarding procurement and delivery issues
  • Participate in project reviews for conformance to quality standards and compliance with applicable codes and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Up to two years of job related experience
  • This job requires application of engineering principles, processes and practices; application of regulations, codes and safety practices; utilization of basic and advanced computer applications including those specific to areas of responsibility; communication skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
