About this role

The Arch H. Aplin III '80 Department of Marketing at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, invites applications for multiple full-time, tenure-track positions with 9-month academic appointments beginning Fall 2027. All of the positions are at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Candidates should have completed, or be expected to complete, a PhD by July 2027, and conduct research in consumer behavior, marketing strategy, or quantitative marketing. We welcome applications from candidates at all stages of the assistant professor rank, from rookie faculty entering the market for the first time to more advanced assistant professors. Successful candidates are expected to conduct high-quality research that is already published and/or has the potential to be published in leading marketing journals. In addition, successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, participate in all aspects of the department's activities, and serve the profession.

The Mays Business School and Arch H. Aplin III '80 Department of Marketing offer an excellent research environment, with a collegial culture, productive faculty colleagues, access to key databases, a state-of-the-art behavioral research lab, a teaching load of three courses per year for highly productive faculty, and relationships with world-class research faculty in related disciplines. Housed within the Department are the Center for Retailing Studies and the Reynolds and Reynolds Sales Leadership Institute; exciting opportunities exist for collaboration with member companies. Applicants for these positions must possess a research and teaching emphasis in at least one of the following areas: consumer behavior, marketing strategy, or quantitative marketing.

Applicants must also have earned a PhD in Marketing or a related field. Candidates who have completed all Ph.D. requirements except the dissertation (ABD) will be considered, provided they demonstrate clear progess toward completion.

Special consideration will be given to candidates whose research has had a significant impact on theory, practice, or society.
