The Cigna Group's Technology Development Program - Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Track Summer Internship

Get ready to embark on an exhilarating summer adventure with The Cigna Group’s Technology Development Program Summer Internship. Over the course of 12 dynamic weeks, interns will work on impactful technology projects, receive comprehensive training, and benefit from mentorship. ## What You Will Do - Work within the Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering track, contributing to the design, deployment, and support of secure, scalable technology environments. Gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms, automation tools, and enterprise infrastructure supporting healthcare innovation across The Cigna Group. - Engage with peers, mentors, and cross-functional partners through community-building activities and collaborative initiatives, including recruiting efforts, innovation, community promotion, and onboarding experiences. - Participate in structured learning through core and track-specific curriculum, including technical training, leadership development, and business exposure. - Build meaningful relationships across the organization through networking events, mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and peer engagement. ## Qualifications - Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, Network and Systems Engineering, or a related technical field. - Foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture is advantageous. - Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell. - Experience with version control systems, specifically Git, and strong collaboration skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively. - Proactive attitude toward learning and adaptability to new challenges. - Familiarity with agile methodologies, including Scrum, is preferred. - Understanding of continuous integration and test-driven development is a plus. - A GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred. ## Additional Information - The role requires a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, and one additional day of the employee’s choice. The remaining days may be worked remotely. - Must be available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, beginning May 24, 2027. - Selected candidates must complete mandatory pre-employment tasks approximately 45 days before the program start date, including a drug test requiring availability within the United States. - The position is open only to individuals eligible for employment in the United States who do not now or in the future require visa sponsorship, including H-1B, CPT, OPT, or STEM authorization.
