Threat and Vulnerability Management Intern

American National is an insurance organization offering a summer internship program with hands-on corporate experience and professional development opportunities. The Threat and Vulnerability Management Intern will support vulnerability identification, scanning, patching, remediation verification, documentation, and cybersecurity process improvement activities.

What you'll do:

• Assist with identifying and tracking vulnerabilities across company systems and assets
• Support monthly patching and remediation activities
• Help perform vulnerability scans and review results
• Assist with remediation verification and follow-up activities
• Contribute to program documentation and process improvement initiatives
• Participate in team meetings, projects, and collaborative activities

What they're looking for:

• * Enrolled in an accredited college or university
• * Junior standing or higher by the start of the internship; May 2027 graduates are welcome
• * Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• * Available to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• * Able to work onsite at the posted role location
• * Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• * Interest in cybersecurity, threat management, and vulnerability management
• * Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and security best practices
• * Strong verbal and written communication skills
• * Sound problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
• * Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently
• * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy
