The Ticketing Associate handles cash and digital transactions for complex event entry and vehicle parking. Following Oak View Group service standards, they ensure accurate payment processing, verify booking credentials using Ticketmaster software, and provide immediate directional assistance across our expansive entertainment complex property. This role relies on event-driven scheduling, primarily occurring during evenings and weekends.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $10.00 - $11.00.

The Macon Centreplex is comprised of the Macon Coliseum and Macon City Auditorium. The Macon Coliseum is home to the tenant hockey team, the Macon Mayhem, and seats 9,000 patrons. Family shows, concerts, trade shows, and GHSA, among others, are frequent entertainment in the venue. The Macon City Auditorium first opened in 1925 and has hosted iconic greats like Otis Redding, The Allman Brothers, and Little Richard. The venue hosts concerts, weddings, private galas, and comedy shows, among other events, in its 2,500-seat space. The 10,000-capacity Amphitheater opened in the Spring of 2024 with concerts, comedy shows, graduations, and community events.

  • Process walk-up ticket purchases, multi-attraction passes, and VIP upgrades utilizing the Ticketmaster system.
  • Operate parking booth registers to sell general, valet, preferred, and oversized vehicle parking passes.
  • Handle cash, credit cards, and contactless mobile payments accurately while maintaining a balanced drawer according to OVG financial compliance guidelines.
  • Scan Ticketmaster digital barcodes, print physical credentials, and resolve delivery issues for pre-paid tickets or online parking reservations.
  • Provide detailed information on complex layouts, seating charts, event schedules, food and beverage locations, and venue safety policies.
  • Give rapid directional instructions to drivers entering the property to minimize traffic congestion and optimize lot usage.
  • Perform opening and closing count procedures for both box office registers and mobile parking point-of-sale (POS) units.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Proven experience in retail sales, cash handling, hospitality, or customer service environments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience or ability to quickly learn Ticketmaster platform software (such as TM1, Host, or Archtics) and standard POS hardware.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and warmly under fast-paced, high-pressure event conditions.
  • Ability to work inside a confined parking booth, stand for extended periods, and be comfortable with outdoor weather elements.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and select holidays based on the complex's peak event calendar.
