Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE: 
The Total Rewards Director directs, implements, and maintains compensation, benefits, leaves, wellness and recognition programs for the organization. Conducts analysis of these programs in order to assist executives in defining organizational goals and strategic plans. Evaluates internal equity, external competitiveness and legal compliance of the practices. Ensures the implementation and application of all programs. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Directs the work of the Compensation team members who are responsible for the planning, implementation and maintenance of compensation and incentive programs and strategies. Ensures the delivery of these programs are in compliance with regulations.
  • Directs the Benefits team who are responsible for the planning, implementation, administering, implementation and maintenance of the health & welfare, retiree medical, voluntary benefits, wellness, short and long term disability, FMLA/DC FMLA, ADAAA and retirement plans. Ensures the delivery of these programs are in compliance with their governing regulations and that all filing requirements are met.
  • Ensures that the overall total rewards strategy is competitive both internally and externally and is aligned with the corporate goals. Research and provide short and mid term strategies. Develops total rewards programs, execution and operational direction to the Total rewards team.
  • Reviews staffing goals and expectations to ensure that each is consistent and adequate to meet department goals. Delegates responsibility and authority to appropriate staff within the team. Evaluates performance of each team member, generates development plans and sets goals within the context of the corporate policy. Provides coaching, counseling and motivation to team members ensuring staff has the appropriate tools and training.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position manages people.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Licenses/Certifications Upon Hire Preferred:

  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)-HRCI 
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CPB) 

Experience: 8 years related Compensation, Benefits and/or Human Resources experience. 3 years related management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree
  • Experience in a Healthcare or Insurance environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) 

  • Demonstrated expertise in compensation, benefits and wellness programs.
  • Demonstrated managerial and leadership.


Salary Range: $174,800 - $324,473
