Toyota Production System Internship

Carolina Handling is seeking a Toyota Production System Intern for a hands-on summer internship in manufacturing. The role involves learning TPS principles, planning Kaizen events, collecting KPI and project data, teaching Toyota principles, collaborating with manufacturing personnel, and developing presentation skills.

What you'll do:

• Learning TPS Principles and Toyota's A3's (project planning)
• Project planning for Kaizen events, including collection KPI's, collecting data to support project planning events, and teaching Toyota Principles
• Collaborating with manufacturing managers, supervisors, and production engineers
• Learning PowerPoint presentation skills

What they're looking for:

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology or related field
• Available for a full-time, onsite internship in Muscatine, IA from May - August 2027
• This is an in-person role located at our **Muscatine, IA** office—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment
• Currently pursuing or getting ready to start their Bachelor's degree
• This is an entry-level position; no previous experience is required
• Familiar with the Toyota Way of Working
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
