About this role
## The Job
As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you’ll be part of our North American Trade Compliance team working as a remote employee. You’ll get to:
- Ensure import transactions are executed in compliance with all applicable international trade regulations.
- Conduct audits to ensure accurate declarations with various tools and software.
- Review and assess U.S. customs entries and declarations for accuracy and compliance with import regulations.
- Engage Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments to streamline the collection of critical data.
- Compare and verify country of origin information received from businesses for certain products and projects.
- Support information requests between Trade Compliance and business stakeholders for external reviews.
- Provide analytical support related to CBP Requests for Information, Post-Summary Corrections, Protests, and other matters.
- Generate reports and metrics pertaining to various elements of the import process and projects.
- Gather entry data from multiple sources, cleanse data, and verify accuracy.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Present findings clearly and compellingly using data visualization tools.
- Use critical thinking to understand root causes and resolve data discrepancies related to import transactions.
- Support other compliance-related activities within the department in accordance with SBD policies, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Monitor and ensure Importer Security Filings (ISF) are filed timely and accurately.
- Continuously strive to improve business processes.
- Receive and apply feedback to enhance performance.
## The Person
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in an international trade/customs environment required.
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and the import entry process.
- Proficiency with current Microsoft Office programs; intermediate Excel proficiency preferred.
- Detail-oriented, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and on teams.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask on varied projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across multifunctional teams.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; accepts accountability and responsibility for actions.
