Trade Marketing Internship, Fall 2026

W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. is the oldest and largest independent and employee-owned publishing house. They are looking for interns to participate in a twelve-week internship program, where interns will assist the trade marketing team with various tasks related to marketing and outreach.

What you'll do:

• Assisting the department as they market Norton’s diverse trade list, which includes works of history, science, fiction, economics, memoir, and more
• Researching title audiences
• Supporting and conducting social media research and outreach
• Drafting materials for Norton’s twice-a-month newsletter
• Helping to prepare merchandising materials for accounts
• Other clerical work as needed

What they're looking for:

• You are a college junior, senior, recent graduate, or someone looking to make a career change
• You are eager to improve your verbal and written communication skills
• You enjoy collaborating and working in a group to solve challenges
• You have a passion for learning and ideas
• You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Eligibility to work with W.W. Norton & Company in the US is required
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator—not required, but would be a plus
