You would be excited to join the Software and Workforce Training team, which delivers classes on Microsoft applications, other software, and CPR. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:%3Cbr%3E-Coordinate, research, design, and write formal complex curricula that are grammatically correct and organized and that are compliant with Section 508 Accessibility requirements.%3Cbr%3E-Deliver software classroom training, presentations, and meetings in person and in virtual environments using Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom.%3Cbr%3E-Accurately and grammatically prepare documents, including correspondence, proposals, briefings, reports, training materials, and project timelines.%3Cbr%3E-Deliver a wide variety of technical training to diverse audiences by translating complex content into basic concepts.%3Cbr%3E-Manage multiple projects using formal project management methodology and tools.%3Cbr%3E-Build and maintain communication and working relationships with Administrative and Program staff, community, and co-workers to accomplish the department%27s goals and objectives.%3Cbr%3E-Work on department special projects and other related work as assigned to meet department goals and objectives.%3Cbr%3E-Coordinate and facilitate meetings.%3Cbr%3E-Travel to Texas Workforce boards across the state of Texas to train in-person classes when requested.%3Cbr%3E-Perform other duties as assigned to meet department goals.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYOU QUALIFY WITH:%3Cbr%3E-Three years of experience in positions that provided knowledge of training methods, techniques, and materials as related to individual development, education, and training programs; or in positions that provided knowledge of agency operation or programs which included giving group presentations.%3Cbr%3E-Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.%3Cbr%3E-One year of full-time in-service TWC experience classified as a Training Specialist III with regular status will satisfy the minimum qualifications.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:%3Cbr%3E-Experience training adults.%3Cbr%3E-Experience teaching software and technical classes.%3Cbr%3E-Experience in developing curricula.%3Cbr%3E-Experience with current virtual and in person training.%3Cbr%3E-The ability to travel to Local Workforce Board areas to perform TWC training.%3Cbr%3E-The ability to use creative thinking to originate new methodologies, concepts, or programs.%3Cbr%3E-Knowledge of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act accessibility requirements.%3Cbr%3E-Experience with writing documents that are grammatically accurate, well-developed, organized, and appropriate for the given audience and purpose.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYOU GAIN:%26nbsp;%3Cbr%3E- A Family Friendly Certified Workplace%26nbsp;%3Cbr%3E- Competitive salary: %245,166.67/month%26nbsp;%3Cbr%3E- Defined Retirement Benefit Plan%26nbsp;%3Cbr%3E- Optional 401(k) and 457 accounts%26nbsp;%3Cbr%3E- Medical Insurance%26nbsp;%3Cbr%3E- Paid time off, including time for vacation, sick and family care leave%26nbsp;%3Cbr%3E- Additional benefits for active employees can be found at https://www.ers.texas.gov/Active-Employees/Health-Benefits.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDuty involves up to 25% travel within the state of Texas.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVETERANS:%3Cbr%3EUse your military skills to qualify for this position or other jobs!
