About this role
Hatch is a global professional services company committed to positive change across mining, energy, and infrastructure. The Transit Business Analyst Intern will support the Infrastructure group by developing cost and financial models, evaluating and synthesizing information, preparing business cases and reports, and collaborating with clients and subject matter experts from the Denver office.
What you'll do:
- Develop and/or assist in the preparation of cost models, financial models or business cases for projects and initiatives, for external clients and within Hatch
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconciling conflicts
- Deconstruct high level information to identify the underlying fundamental drivers and aggregating detailed information to inform a holistic understanding
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and deliver written reports, presentations, and verbal reports, as needed
- Collect and summarize information using data collected from existing data sources, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and business process descriptions
- Prepare cases and scenarios to assist analysts and consultants
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between planned objectives and business performance needs
- Assist with administrative support, as required
- Successfully manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Perform assignments related to your sector
- Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects
- Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications
What they're looking for:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, data analytics, economics, mathematics, or a relevant field
- Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Strong leadership initiative, commitment to excellence and personal growth
- Keen interest in mining, metals, energy, or infrastructure and supporting technical and business management
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
- Hatch will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position

- Interest in learning how to write Power BI reports
