The team develops a suite of cloud infrastructure products that includes Compute products like Bare-Metal compute, Virtual Machines, Kubernetes Services, and Serverless Computing; Storage products like Block Store, Object Store and File Systems; Networking products like SDN, Load Balancers, and DNS; Security products like Key management and Identity systems; and Platform products like Notifications, Monitoring, and Streaming. In addition to these, we are also building a number of new services from the ground up. Learn more at oracle.com/cloud. ## What You’ll Do We are seeking best-in-class engineers with the expertise and passion for solving challenging unique problems. You will use your knowledge and creativity to design and build innovative new systems from the ground up. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies to tackle real-world problems in a collaborative, agile environment. - Develop, test, debug, and maintain software features, APIs, SDKs, and platform components with guidance from experienced engineers. - Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and the software development lifecycle. - Contribute to cloud and infrastructure projects in areas such as AI, compute, networking, storage, or related technologies. - Support system reliability through monitoring, automation, maintenance, testing, and issue resolution. - Follow established coding, security, and development standards. - Collaborate with team members to solve technical problems, deliver assigned work, and continuously build technical skills. ## What You’ll Bring (Objective Minimum Qualifications) To be considered for a Software Engineer position in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you must possess the following Objective Minimum Qualifications. Ensure your application clearly indicates that you meet these qualifications, either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript. - Complete a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent science/engineering field by January 2027. - Be proficient (able to complete coding tasks without assistance) in two or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C, C++, or similar object-oriented or functional programming languages. - Demonstrate experience through projects, internships, coursework, or research with three or more of the following areas: Algorithms, Machine Learning, Compilers, Computer Architecture, Data Mining, High Performance Computing, Distributed Systems, Data Structures, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Object Oriented Design, Network Security, Big Data, Web/Mobile Technologies, Operating Systems, Database Systems, Cloud Computing, or Parallel Programming. - Have proven experience through internships, projects, or coursework working on at least two of the following areas: Linux Operating Systems, Web Services, Compute Platforms (such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Storm, Ganglia, Nagios, openTSDB, Elasticsearch or others), or Agile & Scrum Methodologies. - Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US. - Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Salary and benefit information provided in this posting is specific to the stated locations. US hiring range: $74,100 to $148,300 per annum. The role may be eligible for bonus and equity. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, locations, products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on these factors and internal peer equity.
